STUDY OF ISOTONICITY AND OCULAR IRRITATION OF CHLORAMPHENICOL IN SITU GEL

Objective: The objective of this study was to find out the isotonicity chloramphenicol ophthalmic in situ gel and know irritating effect its eyes test animals, so it can be maximize absorption drug eye, minimize loss before corneal penetration safe used.
 Methods: This were started by making four aseptic formulations preparations with a comparison baseline concentrations different Poloxamer 407 HPMC, F1 (5: 0.45), F2 (10: F3 1) F4 1). Four preparations, followed qualitative using blood cells see between control ocular irritation draize method determine presence or absence irritation.
 Results: results obtained from showed that have normal similar isotonic solution; therefore, said been made isotonic.
